ToggleLogic Free · Build Commercially While Small

Build the product first.
Talk to us when you grow.

ToggleLogic Free is the public routing layer for OpenClaw. A qualifying startup may use, modify, embed, host, and distribute it as an integrated part of a commercial product—and charge customers—without contacting Motherboard first.

Read first

Commercial startup use is permitted under the published License 2.0 while your consolidated startup group remains below both objective thresholds. No advance approval, registration, or early contact is required. Review the repository license for the controlling terms.

OpenClaw compatibility

Backward-compatible with OpenClaw 2026.6.5 and later; validated through OpenClaw 2026.7.1-2. ToggleLogic Free 1.3.2 was packaged and passed its full release gate on OpenClaw 2026.7.1-2. Its minimum gateway >=2026.6.5 and plugin API >=2026.5.2 are intentional compatibility floors for existing deployments—not dependencies on an obsolete host release. Newer OpenClaw versions should be verified before production promotion.

The engine

A useful public engine with a narrow, testable contract.

Free does not claim to infer the perfect model from message text. It applies explicit policy, uses a documented fallback path, and leaves an auditable record.

01 · Configured routes

Map a task to a model

Point a task type at the exact model you want. Explicit, deterministic, and entirely under your control.

02 · Cheapest-capable default

Documented fallback behavior

When no configured route matches, the plugin uses its documented default behavior or passes control safely to the host when required data is uncertain.

03 · Owner override

Correct it in the moment

Disagree with a routing call? Override it. The engine records your decision and respects it from then on.

04 · Transparent audit log

Every decision, on the record

Which task, which model, on what basis — written to a routing log you can read. Nothing hidden.

Where the line is

Free routing. Public Intelligence engine. Proprietary maintained intelligence.

ToggleLogic Free applies configured policy. The source-available Intelligence engine can evaluate approved model families using deployment-supplied evidence. The production registry, maintained benchmark intelligence, private evidence, signed packs, and services remain separately delivered.

ToggleLogic Intelligence

Evidence-based automatic model selection for compatible, approved deployments.
  • Scores approved model families before execution
  • Uses curated evidence with deployment-specific checks
  • Capability-weighted to your priorities
  • Drops in through the engine's intelligence seam
  • Publicly inspectable and contribution-friendly
  • Registered startup production use below both thresholds
  • Separately versioned, licensed, and compatibility-gated
Build with Free under objective startup terms. Inspect and contribute to Intelligence without registering; register an eligible company and project only before commercial production use.
License & use

Source-available, commercially usable, and publicly inspectable.

Free for personal, internal, and qualifying startup use

Run ToggleLogic Free yourself or embed it in a bona fide commercial product while your Startup Group remains below both published thresholds.

Intellectual property

ToggleLogic includes patent-pending engineering. The repository license—not marketing shorthand—defines the patent rights granted for ToggleLogic Free.

Controlling terms

The versioned ToggleLogic Free Startup Commercial Use License 2.0 controls Free use. Intelligence has its own published source-available license and registration requirement for commercial production.

Get started

Install the engine into your OpenClaw deployment.

# add ToggleLogic to your OpenClaw gateway
$ openclaw plugins install clawhub:togglelogic
Dogfooded in operations

Used in working SAM deployments

ToggleLogic is tested in live operating environments, with deployment-specific results treated as evidence rather than universal performance promises.

Release evidence

Tests, provenance, and rollback

Public releases align source, package identity, checksums, software bills of materials, and changelog entries.

Clear product boundary

No private Intelligence source in Free

The Free package excludes the Intelligence implementation, maintained registry data, private classifiers, customer evidence, and provider credentials. The Intelligence engine is available from its own repository under separate terms.
